Research Projects



CEPS research teams based at The Australian National University are currently focussed on the following projects:

 

Chief Investigator: Professor Peter Grabosky, based at the Regulatory Institutions Network (RegNet)

  1. Illicit organisations: New and emerging crime threats

  2. Investigative practices: Responding to serious crime

 

Chief Investigator: Professor William Tow, based at the Department of International Relations (IR)

  1. Extending the frontiers of Australia's security

  2. International responses to transnational threats

These two projects are implemented within an overarching research theme entitled ‘Changing regional and international structures and threats.’

The International Relations component of CEPS at The Australian National University involves partnerships with four stakeholders:

 

Chief Investigator: Professor Gabriele Bammer, based at the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health (NCEPH)

  1. Integrating policing and security research, policies and programs

  2. Managing ignorance and uncertainty in policing and security
